I aim for $5.00 a meal, sometimes I'm a little over. I calculate the main ingredients prices and round up for smaller ingredients such as spices. I am able to make most dinners for $5.00 or less because of my coupon shopping and stockpiling.
I'm repeating a couple of dinners from last week because I didn't get to make them.
Blogger note: still having issues with picture load, so no cute Monday Menu graphic right now. Sorry :(
Monday -- Vegetarian Shepard's Pie $2.00
Tuesday -- Instant Mashed potatoes, corn on cob, baked beans from can, biscuits. $1.00
Wednesday -- Barak Obama Chili (again, not meant as a political statement, just really wanted to try recipe)
Thursday -- Skillet Nachos $4.00
Friday -- Dance Class! Quick Bean Quesadillas $2.50
Saturday -- Leftovers or Soup from a can and biscuits, either way $0 (I got the soup and biscuits totally free from Publix a couple of weeks ago)
Sunday -- Tortilla Soup $5.00 from Fix It and Forget It Lightly cookbook (see left sidebar for details)
